Perla O. Miranda

MIRANDA, PERLA O. , 95 went home to be with our Lord on December 3, 2016. Perla was born in San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines on April 15, 1921. She is the last surviving sibling of 9 brothers and sisters. She graduated from Philippine Normal College at 19 years of age and worked as an elementary school teacher for over 40 years. She was well-respected in the school she worked in and was active in church. She came to America in the 90's and loved the American way of life but also retained her Filipino traits of family, love, generosity, loyalty and religiosity. Perla is survived by her loving family, daughter Teresa, son-in-law Noel (Tolentino), and grandchildren, Andrew and Angelie. She is also remembered by a host of family and friends here and in the Philippines. Services will be held on Saturday December 10 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish-Church of the Assumption, 146 Galloway NJ 08205. Visitation will be held from 10 am to 12 pm, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E. Great Creek Rd., Galloway(609-641-0001).
