Patricia E. Schoenstein Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Patricia E. Schoenstein of Laureldale, NJ a loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on February 12, 2021 at the age of 87. She was born in Atlantic City, NJ and was the daughter of Beatrice and William Fogel of Margate, NJ. Patricia was married to William F. Schoenstein of Egg Harbor City for 62 years. William and Patricia lived in Egg Harbor City for the first few years of their marriage. They shared a love for the land and farm life and moved to Laureldale, where they raised their six children on “THE FARM”. Patricia loved to sit on the tractor vegetable planter and plant the season’s produce with her husband and son, she would often share the bounty from the Schoenstein garden with family and friends or anyone who happened to stop by. Patricia enjoyed growing flowers each season and sold her beautiful bouquets to her favorite local restaurant. Patricia was a graduate of Atlantic City High School and as a young girl she loved spending time riding her horse Rusty and learning to tap dance. Throughout her life, Patricia loved nature, crafting, cooking, baking, gardening, knitting and spending time with her family and friends. She often knitted hats for the local hospital’s premature babies project. She loved to travel and cherished her trips to Southern California and Maine. While in California, she enjoyed the warmth and beautiful sites of the state and in Maine she lounged by the river with her morning cup of coffee and savored the taste of fresh scallops and lobster whenever she could. Patricia will be most remembered for her warm heart for she never met a stranger and brought kindness to all she met. Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, William Schoenstein Sr.; parents, Beatrice and William Fogel; her daughter, Sabrina; and son-in-law, George Boyd. She will forever be in the hearts of those she left behind, including her daughter, Gail (Jeff) Waldmann; her son, William Schoenstein; her daughter, Leslie (Christopher) Corbett; her son, Frank Schoenstein; her daughter, Dawn (David) Smith; her brothers, Joel (Coty) Fogel, Danny (Margaret) Fogel; her nine grandchildren; her 19 great-grandchildren; her three great-great-grandchildren with another on the way; along with many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family and friends are invited to her visitation to be held from 9:00 to 10:30 AM on Friday, February 19th at the Wimberg Funeral home, 400 Liverpool Ave, Egg Harbor City, NJ (609) 965-0357. Covid-19 precautions will be in place during the visitation. A mass will be held in Patricia’s honor following the visitation on February 19th at 11:00 AM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 525 St. Louis Ave, Egg Harbor City, NJ. Covid-19 precautions will be in place for the mass as well. Interment will immediately follow at Egg Harbor City Cemetery. The mass will be live streamed for those unable to attend.
