Margaret (Maggie) D’Ambra (nee Beckler), of Egg Harbor City, born May 29,1953, passed away at home on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Paul D’Ambra; daughter, Margaret Inemer (George); son, Michael D’Ambra; daughter, Iris D’Ambra; mother, Margaret Beckler; sister, Roberta Beckler; brother, Ray Beckler (Cindy); and 8 grandchildren. She is predeceased by her father, Raymond J Beckler Sr. A 1971 graduate of Pleasantville High School, Margaret started her career at the FBI in Washington DC and retired from the William J Hughes Technical Center as a Civil Rights officer. She was a recipient of the FAA Secretary of the Year Award presented by the US Secretary of Transportation. Margaret was President of the Egg Harbor City School Board for 8 years and a member of the City Planning Board. She organized many town parades and celebrations. She cared for many foster children and shared her home with foreign exchange students. She was a Life Member of the Absecon VFW Women’s Auxiliary and the Brigantine Elks Lodge. She will be fondly remembered for her kind giving heart and colorful fun-loving personality. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the Fisher House Foundation. Services will be held Saturday, Nov.17th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm with a service starting at 12:00 pm at Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Ave, Egg Harbor City 609-965-0357.
