Kimberly J. Mason-Parker, departed this life on Saturday, September 4, 2021. She was born in Atlantic City NJ on April 30, 1971 to Alfred A. Mason Sr. and Jacqueline Mason. Kimberly was the youngest from this union. She was predeceased by her father, Alfred A. Mason, Sr. Kimberly attended grade school in Atlantic City and completed high school in Williamstown, NJ. She attended Atlantic Community College where she completed Accounting and Business courses. She began her working career at the Trump Castle at age 16 in the Ice Cream Parlor where she considered herself the best Ice Cream Sundae maker ever. In 1990, she transferred to the Trump Taj Mahal where she worked for 26 years. She began as an Income Audit Clerk and was promoted to Lead Clerk and eventually to Supervisor of Hotel Accounting. When the Trump Taj Mahal closed o October 10, 2016, she was hired by Tropicana Resort Hotel on October 11, 2016 as Hotel Income Control Supervisor. She remained there until March 2020. Throughout her working years, she held various part-time positions within the Trump Taj Mahal, at Caesars and Home Depot. Kimberly will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, kind and caring personality and always full of life. You always knew where you stood with Kimberly as she wouldn’t hesitate to tell you. She made everyone feel important and never forgot a Birthday or Special Occasion. She had the gift of Help. She could always be counted on to help her friends or family. Her favorite pastimes, where Shopping, especially Shoes and Handbags (designer, of course) and Party Planning. She had a good eye for great decorations and party favors. She always made it a point of getting her “Girls” together whether for Birthdays, Game Day or Shopping Trips. She was known for her good taste in clothes and had the closets full to prove it. Planning getaways was her specialty. Traveling, even on short trips with her friends or family always brought her a source of pleasure. Kimberly always enjoyed watching the latest movies on Netflix with Jabril and eating Crabs. They loved Crabs. He was very good at showing her how to navigate thru social media and options on her new IPhone 12. Spending time with her brother, Alfred Jr. was especially good for her as he took her on late night walks whether on the Boardwalk on within the neighborhood. They had a very tight knit brother and sister relationship. Kimberly is survived by her husband, Abdul Parker; her son, Jabril Mason; her godson, Deshawn Ward; his goddaughter, Markita Spellman; her mother, Jacqueline Mason; her brother, Alfred Mason, Jr.; her aunts/uncles, Barbara McCaskill, Mary Ann Wigfall, Myron Spence, and Nathaniel Mason; her cousins, Chakiris (Fred), David III, Sterling, Cheryl, Sharon, Kareem, Keena, Monique, Troy, Myron, Gerald, Toni, Michelle, Pat, Jackie, Brenda, Stacey, Robert, Ronni, Tamika, Selena, and Lamar; her nephew, Cian; her friends forever, Ganeen, Denise, Shenita, Sandra, Maritza, Kelly, Donna, Tracey, Nichelle, Shelya, Lisa, Aja R., Aja S. and special friend, Trina Miller; her sister friends, Sonia, Eloise, and Tammy; and her class of ’89, Sherri, Mala, and Mika. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 14 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM with a service at 11:00 AM at the All-Wars Memorial Building in Atlantic City.
