Kathryn Allen Mangano went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Atlantic City, NJ. Kathryn was born in Mays Landing, NJ on December 29, 1930 to the late Reverend Dennis and Alona Allen. Kathryn was belter known by family and friends as Katie. She attended the public school in Mays Landing. She was a member of the New York Avenue Church of God in Atlantic City, NJ where her father was the pastor until he went to be with the Lord, one of her favorite scripture Psalms 91. One of her many songs is “How great Thou Art” that was her song of praise. Kathryn loved to work, cook, and be there for her family and friends. She worked at Leggett’s warehouse for many years until she got married and became a wife and mother. Kathryn was a very quiet, sweet, had a heart of gold and a very beautiful smile. She loved to reminisce. She loved to read the bible and mark down her favorite scriptures. Kathryn loved to talk about her parents and husband. She also enjoyed spending time with her older sister, Lucille Leonard. Kathryn is predeceased by her husband, James B. Mangano; her parents, Dennis and Alona Allen; her brothers, Albert, Joseph, and Zackary Allen; her sisters, Lucille Allen Leonard and Elizabeth Allen. She leaves to cherish fond memories her children, Donna Mangano Smith, Sophia Mangano, Larry Mangano, Timothy Mangano, and Troy Mangano; her three grandchildren, Troy Mangano and Dominique and Antonio Smith; her two sisters, Delores and Grace Allen; her son-in-law, Aaron Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1st from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with a service starting at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Church CME, Fairmount Ave and Liverpool Ave, South Egg Harbor, NJ. Interment will immediately follow at Egg Harbor City Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Ave, Egg Harbor City 609-965-0357.
