Joseph Stadtmuller Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Stadtmuller, Joseph A, 83, of Galloway beloved by his family, went to be with Jesus in the very early morning on Sunday, October 4, 2015. He was a quiet, gentle, loving man who loved the Lord. Joe attended St. Nicholas School and Egg Harbor City High School. In 1952, he joined the US Army and was stationed in Kimpo, Korea as radio operator during the Korean War. In 1954, he was honorably discharged and returned to the family farm in Germania. He was also in the reserves. He got a job working for the Pennsylvania Railroad and he loved his work as a fireman. During this time he met the love of his life, Ann. They courted, then on February 23, 1957, they married. Later they began building their home which they lived in together for 56 years. Joe then began a career as a mason, working for Henry Schroer. Joe proudly built many beautiful buildings in EHC and throughout the area. He then worked at Pomona Oil for his friend and boss, Tom Penza, for many years as a delivery driver. He enjoyed so many things; his vegetable garden, working around his home and restoring a 1952 8N Ford tractor he named “Baby” but his favorite hobby was steam engine trains, the K4 was his favorite. He truly enjoyed taking trips with the family and traveled many places. His favorite pastime of all was spending time with his wife and family and enjoying the holidays and family dinners. Joe loved a great meal!. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 430 in Galloway. Joe is predeceased by his parents, John and Johanna Stadtmueller; his in-laws, Jule and Ann Minguez; siblings, John Jr., Louis, Francie and Eleanor; and his niece, Judy. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Ann; daughters, Kathleen Stadtmuller-Gad, Christine and “son”, Ray Gaskill; granddaughters, Serena Johnson and her husband Andy, Corrine, Chaneé, and Savannah Gaskill; his sister, Marie Santora; great grandchildren, Skilynne, Travis, Kaelyn, Mark and Will Johnson; brother-in-law, Jule Minguez; many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends, especially Andrea and Bob Johns and his “grandpuppies” Shiloh and Gracie. A visitation celebrating his life will be held at the Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E. Great Creek Road, Galloway 609-641-0001 on Wednesday October 7th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a memorial service at 8:00 PM by Crossroads Fellowship Church.
