Joseph Jezycki, - 77, of Galloway Township, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 25, 2018 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center after fighting a long and courageous battle with cancer. Joe was born in Staten Island, New York on August 13, 1940, where he spent his early years. He attended and graduated from McKee High School in Staten Island, NY. Joe and his family settled in New Jersey in 1966. Joe worked for over 50 years as a butcher in various supermarkets and casinos and was most recently a bus aide for Atlantic County Special Services for the past 10 years. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, proud member of the American Legion, avid supporter of Law Enforcement, partner in hope for St. Jude Children’s Hospital and proudly served for 8 years in the US Coast Guard from which he was honorably discharged. Joe was a simple man who enjoyed crabbing, fishing, going to flea markets and watching Wrestling, NY Yankees Baseball and New York Giants Football. But first and foremost, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family and beloved pets Ryan, Toesie and Minnie. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mildred (Panetta) and Stephen Jezycki; brothers, Stephen Jezycki (Katherine) and Raymond Jezycki; and sister, Sonja Jezycki. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Anna Jezycki; his son, Joseph Jezycki, Jr; daughter, Genine Agnew (Joseph); grandchildren, Jordan and Nicolas Jezycki; brother, Frank Jezycki (Joan); sister, Jean Trimarco (Dominic); and a host of adoring nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 29th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, May 30th from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E. Great Creek Road, Galloway, NJ 609-641-0001. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Church of the Assumption, 146 S. Pitney Rd, Galloway, NJ.
