Joan Sprouse, 64, of Smithville, NJ passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022. Born and raised in Hamilton Square, NJ and spent summers with her family in Ocean Beach. She graduated from Steinert High School. Joan was an active resident of New Egypt, NJ, where she raised her family for 30 years. She was a longtime dedicated employee for 27 years to Six Flags Great Adventure. Joan retired as a Senior Supervisor who cared for, guided and lead her crew to success. She, along with her husband, opened their doors to many in need of a place to call home. Joan will be remembered for being the fun mom who loved everyone, her avid love of Philly sports, and having a heart of gold. She also loved being in competitive sports and her favorite thing of all was watching her grandchildren play. Her unique curls, warm smile, and generous heart will never be forgotten. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Helen Cooper and her sister, Susan Birmingham. Joan is survived by her husband of 44 years, Raymond Sprouse Sr.; her children, Michael Sprouse (Lydia), RJ Sprouse (Jill), Jamie Trout (Alex), Jessica Figueroa (Angel), and Carmen DeMaille (Jon); her grandchildren, Kelsey, Fiona, Colin, Mason, Talia, Daycen, Beckham, Avery and Javion; her siblings, Helen “Peaches” Soyka, John “Butch” Cooper, Gary Cooper and Nancy Vella; and proud Aunt to many beloved nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 22 from 6pm to 8pm and again on Wednesday, March 23 from 9am to 11am at Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E. Great Creek Rd, Galloway 609-641-0001.
