Harry Vincent Gradick, 94 of Galloway Twp., NJ got his wings to prepare for his big flight on September 22, 2017. Harry was born in Jersey City, NJ on March 3, 1923. He attended Synder High School and in his Junior year enlisted into the U.S. Army December 1, 1942, allowing him to explore many parts of the world. He achieved the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Philippines Liberation Ribbon and the WWII Victory Medal. Harry was married to Evelyn Foster on March 7, 1948; they were married for 69 years. Harry worked as a lab tech at Celanese Corp for 20 years. He was a loyal and friendly fellow and a believer of God. He had a passion for reading books, a thirst for knowledge and a hobby of gardening. Harry loved all different typed of people and believed each and every single person was interesting; he could strike up a conversation with a complete stranger and have a new friend at the end of the day. His guiding light and beautiful mind will be terribly missed, but never forgotten. Harry will be shining down on his wife Evelyn Gradick; his three children, Deborah Lodge, David Gradick, Laura Reed and her husband, Ron Reed Sr.; sister, Gloria Williams; his four grandchildren, Quincy Lodge, Ron Reed Jr., Matthew Lodge, and Joy Reed; and his three great grandchildren, Kyhrie Middleton, Layloni Lodge, and Landon Reed. Family wishes to thank Absecon United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 29th from 10:00 to 11:30 AM with a service at 11:30 AM all being held at Absecon United Methodist Church, 100 Pitney Road, Galloway. Interment will immediately follow at Absecon Methodist Church Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E. Great Creek Rd, Galloway 609-641-0001.
