November 21, 2021
George D. Freeman, 77, passed peacefully on November 21,2021. He resided in Galloway, and was retired after 30 years with the USPS. George enlisted in the army, and after basic training, became a Field Artillery Radar Mechanic (SP5). He served in Viet Nam, where he received 2 O/S Bars and the Purple Heart for injuries he sustained while under massive, multiple attacks across the DMZ from North Viet Nam. Pleasure times were spent riding his Harley with love of his life, wife, Kathy. George always said one of the best days of his life was the day he bought his first Harley. He earned the nickname "Motor head" for his passion for Harleys, Nascar and dirt bike racing. George was devoted to his dear wife, Kathy, and his large, loving family, who will miss him dearly. He was a faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Galloway, where a mass will be held on Friday, November 26th, at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested donations to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital.
