Deirdre "Dee" Shute

Deirdre “Dee” Shute (Nichols) died peacefully surrounded by her family in Galloway, New Jersey after a valiant battle with a long illness on May 10, 2017. She was 71 years old. Deirdre is survived by her daughter, Kerry Buccilli (Shute); her son-in law, Michael Buccilli; her granddaughters, Jordana and Jadyn Buccilli; and her brother, Richard “John” Nichols. She is preceded in death by her mother, Rita “Poppy” Nichols; her father, Richard “Bud” Nichols; and her sister, Diane Engle (Nichols). Deirdre was born on December 1, 1945 in Wantage, England before moving with her family to the United States. She graduated from Atlantic City High School. Deirdre’s devotion to raising her daughter, Kerry lead her to a gratifying career at AC Coin and Slot, Atlantic Plastic Containers and Capaldi, Reynolds & Pelosi before she retired in 2010. Deirdre enjoyed Disney vacations with her family, spending time with her grandchildren and going to the Atlantic City casinos with her best friend, Jayne Sessa. A visitation will be held from 9:00 am and 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E. Great Creek Rd, Galloway 609-641-0001 with the service starting at 11:00 AM.
