Bertha L. Tracey (Flegel), of Germania, peacefully left this earth on July 18, 2020 in the home that her late husband, Harry, lovingly built for her. Bert was a woman of many talents. She was an accomplished seamstress. It wasn't just her career of choice she used her unique abilities to sew more than one wedding dress for the family. She also poured her creativity into amazing art. Her walls were lined with her personal artwork that could rival any professional. When she wasn't expressing herself through her sewing and art you could find her out in her boat fishing the day away. There was no bigger smile than when she was reeling in a fish! When she needed downtime, you could find her with her nose pressed into a book. Her walls were lined with the books she had read over her lifetime. The only thing that rivaled her passion for fishing was her love of plants and gardening. She had the greenest thumb you would ever see. She cultivated her own personal indoor jungle and tended a bountiful garden every year. She and her husband were known for the wine they produced every year from their homegrown grapes. This is only a small glimpse into all that was Bert but needless to say she lived a full life and was never idle. Bertha was predeceased by the love of her life and husband of 43 years, Harry, her mother Lillian Flegel, father Robert Flegel, and brother Thomas Flegel. She is survived by a large loving family. Three wonderful daughters: Holly (Kenneth) Becker, Lillian (Stephen) Schroer, and Fern (Sean) Dever. Stepchildren: David (Corrin) Tracey and Maryann (Gerry) Ivanovs. Many grandchildren: Zachariah Becker, Heather (David) Kaczynski, Pepper (Christopher) Blankenship, Laurel (Joseph) Kurtz, Violet (David) Criss, Ivy (Adam Wepy) Schroer, Alyssum (Luke) Wepy, and Jakob (Maria) Ackerman. She was also lucky enough to enjoy many great grandchildren: David, Elizabeth, Kylee, Jeremy, Riley, Colby, Shane, Sage, Barrett, Ubrig, Rocco, Axel, Brayden, Bradley and Elias. She has also left behind many more extended family members, lifelong friends and her beloved dog, Penny. Private services will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Ave, Egg Harbor City, 609-965-0357. For condolences, please visit wimbergfuneralhome.com.
